Support Early Success In College

The Support Early Success In College initiative was created to support student retention and success programs in Maine colleges. Programs supported by grants under this initiative sought to increase the number of students at Maine colleges who persist in college and graduate in a timely manner.

Grants supported by this initiative

Support Early Success In College Grant

The Support Early Success In College Grant was awarded to 19 of Maine’s 2 and 4-year colleges for up to four or six years respectively. Under the grant, colleges set individual goals that represented significant improvement. Selected goals were required to yield at least a 3% per year increase from the initial college success rate.
